In a social media post, the agency noted that starting on July 13, the PCSO Main Office Charity Assistance Department will begin accepting applications for the Medical Assistance Program (MAP) on Saturdays and Sundays.

The "Isang Linggong Serbisyo (one week of service)" initiative aims to extend the medical services of the PCSO even on weekends, providing daily help to fellow citizens in need of medical assistance.

The PCSO encouraged the public to use the MAP Online Application System, which is available on the official PCSO website at www.pcso.gov.ph.

"The current method of submission via the email address [email protected] will only be available until July 15, 2024. Starting July 16, 2024, Tuesday, all applications must be submitted through the MAP Online," PCSO said in Filipino.

The Original Pilipino Music (OPM) legend shared her plans minutes after officially taking her oath of office before President Marcos at the Malacañan Palace on June 4.

Steps to request assistance

To use the MAP, individuals may visit the PCSO official website (www.pcso.gov.ph) and click on "E-Services" to register and create an account.

PCSO advised the public to prepare necessary documents by scanning or taking pictures with their cellphones.

Once everything is ready, they can go to the PCSO website, click "Log-in," and fill out the form.

"You will receive an email notification confirming that your application has been received by PCSO. Once approved, you can print the Guarantee Letter," PCSO said.

"The printed Guarantee Letter can be brought and submitted to partner health facilities such as hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, etc., along with the complete and original documents used in the application," it added.

Meanwhile, as an additional service, the Medical Services Department will conduct Outpatient Services (OPS) at the PCSO Main Office on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This initiative aims to provide free medical and dental services to the public.

"Just bring a valid ID to be served," PCSO said.
