ILOILO CITY — Police seized shabu worth P2.2 million in buy-bust operations in the province and city of Iloilo.

FIVE suspected drug pushers were arrested and more than P500,000 worth of shabu was seized in Iloilo City in 24 hours. (PNP/PRO-6/RPDEU-6)
The Police Regional Office-6 reported that 325 grams of shabu were seized from 6 a.m. July 10 to 5:59 a.m. July 11.
Six suspected drug pushers were arrested, four of whom were high-value individuals.
“May these arrests serve as a stern warning that we are serious in accounting for those involved in illegal drugs. Those who opted to continue, surely will be the next subject of our operation,” said Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director, in a statement.
Police recorded the biggest haul in Calinog town with P1.7-million worth of shabu seized from a suspect, alias Joemari. A caliber .45 pistol was recovered from him.
Five suspects were arrested and P510,000 worth of shabu was seized in Iloilo City.
The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 and Iloilo City Police Office-Drug Enforcement Unit seized 75 grams of shabu in Jaro District.
The suspects face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
