Maris Racal and Rico Blanco have called it quits.
This was revealed by Maris herself.
She said the split happened only weeks ago and that the decision was mutual.
She went on to describe it a "polite separation."
As to why she finally decided to make it public, she said, "Ang dami kasing tanong about him and I am tired of smiling and nodding."
She went on to share, "Rico and I, our universe is so beautiful. It was full of love, laughter and music and everything, spontaneity, everything. Sa five years namin together, we were always on the same page..."
According to Maris, she and Rico had a hard talk prior to going their separate ways.
"I don't know what happened to me. Maybe I turned to the next page, saw (a) new perspective sa life," she said.
"I had a vision of who I want to become, how I want to evolve. So curious about the world, and the truth is I am going through changes and alam naman natin na changes either good or bad...it's inevitable. Hindi mo siya matatakasan and wala ka nang ibang gagawin kung 'di to face it and confront it."
Maris made clear her love team partner Anthony Jennings has nothing to do with the split.
She went on to ask the "understanding" of everyone, noting she and Rico are still grieving at this point.
Rico is yet to issue a statement.
