The Filipino bets set the tone for the rout with two masterful performances in the first two games before shrugging off a gallant resistance from the Cambodians in Game 3 to get a rematch against MPL PH S13 tormentor in the Cavalry in the semis.
FCAP fired an early warning shot, drawing the first blood in Game 1 and as expected, never looked back from there. The Filipinos relentlessly put the pressure on the Cambodian after getting almost everything they wanted during team fights and objective takes.
It didn’t last long until See You Soon’s base finally fell as FCAP took a 13-1 win in Game 1 in just 12-minutes of play with David “Flaptzy” Canon on the Arlott and Marco “Super Marco” Requitano on the Roger exploding with five kills apiece.
It was pretty much the same story in the second game as FCAP once again dominated every team fight – none bigger than the deciding clash that left SYS with four players down. The Filipinos then took a commanding 2-0 series lead after a 12-6 win in just 11 minutes of play.
Refusing to go down without a fight though, SYS showed semblance of fight against FCAP as Filipino import Michael “MP the King” Endino scored an impressive triple kill to secure the Lord.
SYS, however, overextended on its siege, allowing FCAP to catch them off guard and instead score a clean wipeout. The Filipinos completed the reversal with a 19-16 kill tally with Kyle “Kyletzy” Sayson coming through with a 9-3-8 line on the Ling while Super Marco had an 8-2-7 scoreline on the gold lane Harith.
