A Cebu Pacific Air A-321 aircraft slightly swerved to the grassy portion of the taxiway early Friday morning, July 12, while repositioning from Bay 111 to Bay 122A of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, the Manila International Airport Authority said.

According to MIAA, there were no passengers or crew onboard and no injuries were reported at the time of the incident although at least 13 flights were delayed due to the incident.

“Due to the incident, Bays 110-112 are temporarily unavailable for use leaving three parking bays available for wide-body aircraft,” MIAA said.

The MIAA Aircraft Recovery team was deployed to work on the removal of the aircraft from the grassy area.

“The MIAA seeks the understanding of all passengers whose flights may be affected due to expected delays in flight schedules. They are advised to wait for airline announcements regarding revised timings,” the agency said.

The Cebu Pacific also apologized as six arrival and seven departure flights were delayed due to the incident.
