The Cavite Provincial Police Office (PPO) launched its Motorcycle and Bicycle Patrol Unit in Camp Gen. Pantaleon Garcia in Imus City on Friday, July 12.

Present during the event were Police Regional Office 4A Director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth T. Lucas and Cavite PPO Director Col. Eleuterio M. Ricardo Jr.
The simultaneous launch featured the participation of 120 motorcycle patrollers and 62 bicycle patrollers from various city and municipal police stations in Cavite.

In a statement, the Cavite PPO stated that the Motorcycle and Bike Patrol Unit is a “crime prevention initiative that offers a more flexible and effective way to patrol” and “maximize the police presence in places of convergence during rush hours.”
With the new unit in place, police officers can patrol swiftly and efficiently, working to ensure public security.
The Cavite PPO said the initiative illustrates how creativity can be used to improve community safety.
