Australian couple, Pinay companion, murdered in Tagaytay hotel

CAVITE – An Australian couple and their Filipina companion were murdered in a hotel in Tagaytay City on Wednesday, July 10.
In a statement released on Thursday night, July 11, the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) said they have already directed the Tagaytay Component City Police Station (CCPS) to conduct a thorough investigation of the case.
The initial police report stated that a hotel staff discovered the lifeless bodies of the three victims with their hands and feet bound and their mouths covered with packaging tape.
The Cavite PPO identified the Australian couple as alias David, 57 years old, and alias Lucita, 55 years old. The Filipina, meanwhile, was identified as alias Mary, 30 years old.
The Provincial Scene of the Crime Operatives has processed the crime scene and is conducting autopsy examinations to determine the victims' cause of death.
Authorities are now coordinating with the victims' families as they investigate the case.
The Tagaytay CCPS has also activated its tracker team to identify and collar the suspect.
Cavite PPO Director Col. Eleuterio M. Ricardo Jr. encouraged the community to report any information that could help solve the case.
