To mark this year’s Nutrition Month, the Pasig City local government, together with the Pasig City Nutrition Committee, has prepared and released a calendar of activities aimed at raising awareness about the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN).

The activities prepared by the city aim to focus on PPAN as the framework for future nutrition programs. In previous years, Nutrition Month themes focused on specific nutrition problems.
According to the local government, based on a study, awareness about PPAN at the barangay level is still low, so as part of the new plan, PPAN 2023 to 2028 needs to be effectively disseminated at all levels.
The city's activities started on June 28 and will run until July, August, October, and December.
Some of the activities include a wellness caravan, simultaneous promotional events, public consultations in all of the city's barangays, lectures and workshops, and training on urban vegetable gardening, among others.
The public can view the list of all activities on the city's official Facebook page.
“Sa pagdiriwang ng 2024 Nutrition Month, kaisa ng National Nutrition Council (NCC) ang Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Pasig sa adbokasiya na mapataas ang kamalayan, makabuo ng pakikilahok, at makakuha ng suporta galing sa mga stakeholder mula sa non-government organizations, civil society organizations, private sectors, at sa komunidad (In celebration of this year's Nutrition Month, the National Nutrition Council (NCC), together with the Pasig City Government, advocates raising awareness, encouraging participation, and gaining support from stakeholders including non-government organizations, civil society organizations, private sectors, and the community),” it said.
It encouraged the public to join the city in learning more about PPAN.
In September 2023, the NCC launched PPAN, a comprehensive blueprint designed to guide government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), academia, and the private sector in their coordinated efforts to reduce all forms of malnutrition.
