The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) reminded the public that Sept. 30 is the last day for the registration for the midterm elections next year.
In a statement, the DILG also noted that Aug. 31 is the last day of registration for the “Register Anywhere Program’’ where the qualified registrants can go to the various RAP sites.
In order to be a qualified registrant, the individual must be a Filipino citizen, at least 18 years old before or during the election day, Philippines resident for at least one year and at least six months of residence in the area where he/she will vote before the election, according to the DILG.
The DILG stated that who will register must present valid identification cards (IDs) such as National ID card under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys); Postal ID card; Person with Disability (PWD) card; student ID card or library card signed by the school authority; senior citizen ID card and others related ID cards.
The DILG also advised the public to refer to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office for further details on the voter’s registration requirements for next year’s national and local elections.
