BUTUAN CITY – Police arrested 35 wanted individuals in the Caraga region from July 1 to July 9.

“Police Regional Office-13 has maintained its momentum in the campaign against wanted persons following the arrest of five most wanted persons and 30 others across the region,” PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said on Thursday, July 11.
The Butuan City Police Office caught 11, followed by the Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) with nine, Surigao del Norte PPO with six, Agusan del Sur PPO with five, and Agusan del Norte PPO with four.
PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro identified one of the MWPs as alias Rey who was nabbed by the BCPO-Station 1 on Tuesday, July 9, in Barangay Tagabaca, Butuan City.
Rey, the No. 1 most wanted in Butuan City, was arrested for statutory rape. His warrant of arrest was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 1, Hall of Justice, Libertad, Butuan City. No bail was recommended for his temporary freedom.
Nazarro lauded operating units for their achievement.
“We attribute these series of successful arrests to the support and cooperation of the community and all stakeholders,” Nazarro said. “Rest assured that we will be insistent in bringing justice to their victims.”
