Rizal PPO Director PCol. Felipe Maraggun led the launching ceremony held at the SM City Taytay Open Parking Grounds in Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal.

According to Maraggun, the primary goal of the Bike Patrol is to quicken police responses in all areas of Rizal.

Members of the Rizal Police will use bicycles to patrol areas such as churches and crowded places like markets and terminals.

The initiative also aims to show the people of Rizal that the provincial police are alert and continuously patrolling to maintain their presence in public spaces and combat any form of crime.

Deputy Regional Director for Operations of PRO 4A PCol. Mariano C. Rodriguez was the guest of honor and speaker.

In his message, he praised the police officers involved in initiating the new project, which, according to him, will aid in public service.

Various station chiefs, along with their personnel, collectively supported the event by showcasing their bicycles and demonstrating different basic techniques for their use.

The Rizal PPO also thanked the management of SM City Taytay for lending their facility for the launch.

"Sama-sama tayong papadyak tungo sa kinabukasan (Together, we will pedal towards the future),” Maraggun said.
