Resto robbery: Ex-employee hides in chiller, steals P91K from vault

CAVITE – A fast food restaurant in Carmona City was robbed by one of its former employees on Monday night, July 8.

Initial investigation by the Carmona Municipal Police Station (MPS) showed that based on the CCTV footage, the suspect hid in the establishment’s chiller at 9:38 p.m.

At 10:16 p.m., he came out of hiding and headed to the store’s office to destroy the vault and steal P91,505.

He fled on foot toward the direction of Biñan, Laguna.

On Wednesday, July 10, Carmona MPS Chief of Police Lt. Col. Jefferson P. Ison told the Manila Bulletin that they were able to collar the suspect on July 9. The stolen cash was also recovered.

The suspect is now under the custody of Carmona MPS and is facing a robbery charge.
