P1.1M shabu seized in Rizal buy-bust op

A 38-year-old man was arrested by members of the Rizal Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal on July 8, the Rizal Provincial Police Office (Rizal PPO) announced.

The suspect was identified as "Van," a resident of Angono, Rizal. Van was tagged by the police as a High Value Individual (HVI) for his illegal drugs transactions.

According to Rizal PPO Provincial Director Col. Felipe Maraggun, the suspect yielded 34 packets of shabu worth P1,156,000.

Van is currently detained at the Binangonan Municipal Police Station. He is facing charges for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
