Cops seize P10-M worth of shabu in Quiapo buy-bust

Agents of the Drug Enforcement Group of the Philippine National Police (PDEG) seized around P10.2 million worth of shabu following the arrest of two suspected drug pushers in Quiapo, Manila on Wednesday, June 10.

PDEG director Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta said Lope Alvarez Hernandez and Nacer Gunda were collared in a buy-bust that was carried out at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday on Arlegui Street in Barangay 387 in Quiapo.

Seized from them were 1.5 kilos of shabu, two 9mm pistol and a .45 pistol.

Matta said the arrested suspects were taken to their Metro Manila office and are now facing violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
