P64-M shabu, marijuana seized in Cordillera from June 1 to 30


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police seized shabu and marijuana worth over P64 million in the Cordillera region from June 1 to 30.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera said 26 suspected drug pushers were arrested in 78 operations – 51 marijuana eradication, nine buy-bust, eight search warrant, four warrants of arrest, five police responses, and one checkpoint operations.

Of the 26 suspects, 14 were high-value and 12 were street-level individuals.

Seized from them were 82.74 grams of shabu, 248,690 fully grown marijuana plants, 9,150 marijuana seedlings, two marijuana seeds, 35,349.72 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, 77,105.54 grams of dried marijuana stalks, and 345 milliliters of marijuana oil.

The PRO-Cordillera said these achievements underscore their unwavering commitment to combating illegal drugs and ensuring community safety.

It added that alongside enforcement operations, they also implement community education programs and collaborate with local organizations to provide support services.
