This involves laying 600 mm to 1,200 mm steel pipe that commenced in June and will last until July next year, according to Manila Water.

Manila Water said the traffic scheme to be implemented for the duration of the project is stop-and-go with possible rerouting.

In an advisory, the Taguig City government said the project will ensure that residents will have enough water supply and strong water pressure in their homes.

It said there will be 20-foot segments of the innermost lane of Cayetano Boulevard that will be closed until February next year.

More than 4,000 meters of pipe will be placed from Palar to Sapang Viejo, it said. The daily work at the project site will start from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The affected areas are Palar Commando Bridge, C5 Service Road, Cayetano Boulevard Bridge, SAMACA II Road, Viejo Road and General Luna Street in Taguig.

Manila Water advised the public to expect traffic congestion, noise and dust while the project is being implemented.
