2 drown on river in Quezon

GENERAL NAKAR, Quezon – Two men drowned on the Agos River in Barangay Maigang here on Sunday, June 30.

Police identified the victims as Ronald, a 32-year-old drilling operator, and Mark, a Grab driver, residents of Barangay Culiat, Quezon City.

Investigation said the victims were swimming on the river when they were taken away by the strong current.

They tried to save each other but they drowned.

The victims were retrieved and taken to the Claro M. Recto District Hospital in Infanta, Quezon where they were declared dead by Dr. Joanabelle Sales.
