The Quezon City Police District has conducted a total of 53 outreach programs from May 31 to June 6.
The QCPD collaborated with the Community Affairs and Development Division (DCADD), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), and Stations’ Community Affairs Section (SCAD).
A total of 4,057 QCitizens participated in the events.
QCPD personnel delivered lectures on a variety of topics, including Community Anti-Terrorism Awareness (CATA), Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program/Drug Awareness, Crime Prevention Safety Tips, the Safe Spaces Act, Bomb Awareness, Republic Act (RA) 10627 (the Anti-Bullying Act), R.A. 9262 (the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act), R.A. 8353 (the Anti-Rape Law), Human Rights, Gender Sensitivity/Equality, and other Special Laws.
They also held livelihood programs, tree planting, and clean-up drives, and distributed IEC materials, food packs/hot meals, and PARAK newspapers to the beneficiaries.
"Building positive relationships with the community is essential for effective policing. By actively listening to their needs and working together on solutions, we can create safer and more supportive neighborhoods for everyone," QCPD Director Redrico Maranan said.
