60 wanted persons fall in Caraga

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police arrested 60 wanted persons in a two-day Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) in the Caraga region from June 6 to 7.

Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro said 11 were most wanted persons (MWPs) and that the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office arrested 15 MWPs, followed by the Surigao del Norte PPO with 13, Surigao del Sur PPO with 11, Butuan City Police Office and Agusan del Norte PPO with 10 each, and Dinagat Islands PPO with one.

Nazarro said one of those arrested persons was alias Nan of Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, the No. 9 MWP in the region for statutory rape.

The suspect was arrested on Friday, June 7, by the Cantilan Municipal Police Station (MPS) together with Surigao del Sur Provincial Intelligence Team and Regional Intelligence Unit.

Nazarro ordered all field units to step up the hunt for wanted individuals in the region.

“PNP-Caraga will never be complacent despite its substantial gains in law enforcement operations,” he said. “Rather, we continue to leverage our efforts and resources to arrest individuals sought by the law.”
