The Philippine Blu Boys hope to make an impact when they compete in the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup Group A starting on Wednesday, June 12, in Hermosillo, Mexico.

The Blu Boys will be up against reigning champion and world No. 1 Australia, European champion Czechia, Venezuela Dominican Republic, and host Mexico in their bid to qualify for the 2025 World Cup in Prince Albert, Canada.
A total of 18 teams were divided into three groups with the top two squads from each group advancing to the finals next year.
The Blu Boys will first take on Dominican Republic on June 12, followed by Australia on June 13, Mexico on June 14, and Venezuela and Czechia both on June 15.
Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) hosted a send-off ceremony for the Cebuana Lhuillier-backed Blu Boys recently.
“We are incredibly proud of the Blu Boys and their journey so far. This team has shown immense dedication and talent, and we are confident they will represent the Philippines with great honor and determination. We look forward to seeing them in action and cheering them on as they aim for the top,” said ASAPHIL President Jean Henri Lhuillier.
