P1.3 million shabu seized in Taguig

Police seized P1 million worth of shabu and arrested a man in a buy-bust operation in Taguig City on June 8.

Police operatives from Taguig Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Substation 9 conducted the operation at 8:40 a.m. in Barangay Wawa.

Arrested during the operation was a suspect identified as alias Otchok, 40.

Police also confiscated eight plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 190 grams valued at P1.29 million, an ignition coil box, buy-bust money composed of one genuine P1,000 bill on top of 39 pieces of P1,000 counterfeit money, and a weighing scale.

The police will file a complaint against the suspect for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
