Marin, Cada top Rotary’s Galang Cup

Marin and Cada posted the lowest gross and net scores, respectively, to banner the roster of winners in the tournament, which was held to support RI District 380 and Rotary Club of Agham’s continuing commitment to raise funds in support of programs that will end polio in the next five years.

“We are elated that we are able to put together activities like this that supports our mission to end polio,” said Rotary Club of Agham President Dr. Irene Santos.

Galang acknowledged the support and cooperation given by other RI districts and clubs in making sure that the fund-raising golf tournament was a success.

Chris Foronda topped Class A with PJ Fernandez as runner-up; Arnel Abrenica was Class B champion, followed by Jules Chanco; and Class C winner was Vernard delos Reyes with Randy Villarin as runner-up.

Former national security adviser Gen. Hermogenes Esperon Jr. (ret.), who was also the tournament chairman, ruled the Seniors Division where a strong field from Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Matatag Class of 1974 saw action. Ed Ayento was runner-up.

In the ladies division, Rema Dumayas was the runaway winner with Tanya Marin finishing second.
