Las Piñas City Vice-Mayor April Aguilar helped in the assessment of beneficiaries of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) sustainable livelihood program (SLP).
The assessment, which was held at the City Session Hall, is part of the city government's ongoing efforts to enhance the socio-economic conditions of most vulnerable residents.
Aguilar together with the CSWDO conducted detailed interviews and evaluations to ensure that the program will reach those most in need.
She said beneficiaries of the program are members of various indigent and marginalized sectors that participated in the SLP Means Test to determine their eligibility for livelihood projects.
The vice-mayor said the active community participation highlighted the beneficiaries’ eagerness and commitment to improving their living conditions.
Aguilar said the program featured workshops and counseling sessions aimed at equipping the beneficiaries with the skills and knowledge necessary to sustain their new ventures.
The vice-mayor’s involvement emphasized the local government’s dedication to fostering inclusive economic opportunities for all residents.
The SLP in Las Piñas exemplifies the collaborative efforts between the DSWD and local government to uplift the lives of Filipinos through sustainable means.
