The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said 17 areas may still experience a heat index that is considered “dangerous” on Sunday, June 9.

PAGASA said a 46 degrees Celsius (°C) heat index may be experienced in Virac (Synop), Catanduanes, followed by 45°C in Maasin, Southern Leyte.
Aparri, Cagayan; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; and Masbate City, Masbate may feel a heat index of 44°C.

Meanwhile, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Pasay City, Metro Manila; Dagupan City, Pangasinan; ISU Echague, Isabela; Casiguran, Aurora; and Dipolog, Zamboanga Del Norte may experience a 43°C heat index.
PAGASA added that Bacnotan, La Union; CLSU Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; Alabat, Quezon; Juban, Sorsogon; Catbalogan, Samar; Davao City, Davao Del Sur; and Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte may have a heat index of 42°C.
