Store employee shot dead in Ilocos Norte

BATAC CITY, Ilocos Norte – A 44-year-old retail store employee was gunned down in Barangay San Mateo, this city, on Wednesday, June 5.

Police identified the victim as Marlo Arconado of Barangay San Pedro here.

Investigation said the victim was driving his tricycle at about 7 p.m. with his wife as passenger when gunmen onboard a motorcycle appeared and shot him.

The suspects fled and Arconado was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead from multiple bullet wounds.

His wife was unhurt.

The Scene-of-the-Crime Operatives recovered five empty caliber .45 caliber shells in the crime scene.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.

The victim’s family appealed for justice for their patriarch.
