15-year-old student run over by truck in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A 15-year-old student died after he was hit and run over by an Isuzu Elf truck here on Thursday, June 6.

Police identified the victim as Nicoh Romero Guevarra, a resident of Barangay Vitali, this city.

Investigation said the truck maneuvered to overtake a passenger bus on the MCLL Highway but hit the motorcycle of Gueverra who was on his way to deliver food to a customer.

Guevarra was thrown off the motorcycle and hit the pavement.

The victim was run over and was declared dead at the Vitali Lying-in Center.

The truck driver, 47-year-old Alih Masbud Hakim, was unharmed. He was taken into custody by the police.
