PRO-13 nets P3.9-M illegal drugs from May 16 to June 2

BUTUAN CITY – The Police Regional Office-13 seized illegal drugs worth P3.9 million in the Caraga region from May 16 to June 2.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro said 59 suspected drug pushers were arrested – nine high-value individuals and 50 street-level individuals.

“Here in the Caraga region, we double our efforts against the drug menace,” Nazarro said.

“Those who will be caught engaging in the illegal drug trade will face the fullest extent of the law,” Nazarro added.

Nazarro led the ceremonial burning of uprooted marijuana plant worth P2 million on May 24 in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

The event was witnessed by local chief executives of the province.

Nazarro commended Caraga police field units for their continuing drive against illegal drugs and crime.
