Mayor Eric Olivarez
A total of 750 students under the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) were deployed at different offices of the Parañaque City Hall on Monday, June 3, Mayor Eric Olivarez said.
Olivarez said the city government conducted the students' deployment orientation at the Parañaque City Sports Complex.
He said SPES beneficiaries will work for one month at the City Hall and will receive P610 per day as their salary.
SPES is a program created by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in coordination with the Public Employment and Services Office (PESO) to give students temporary work at the city government.
The mayor noted that the program will help students earn money which they can use for the coming school year.
Around 40 percent of the salary of SPES beneficiaries will come from the city government while the remaining 60 percent will come from DOLE.
