DOH warns public vs fake Facebook pages advertising pre-service scholarship program

The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday, June 7, warned the public about fake Facebook pages advertising the DOH's Pre-Service Scholarship Program (PSSP).

In a statement, the country's health department clarified that the PSSP is "no longer" accepting new scholars as of the Academic Year (AY) 2024-2025.

"Currently, the scholarships are being transitioned to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) who has the mandate of education assistance and support," said.

On June 3, the DOH also raised public awareness about Facebook pages maliciously using the Malasakit Program Office as false loan centers.

"The DOH clarifies that no such support services or offices exist at present," the health department said.
