The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said 34 areas may still experience a heat index that is considered “dangerous” on Thursday, June 6.

PAGASA said a heat index of 45 degrees Celsius (°C) may be experienced in Masbate City, Masbate; Maasin, Southern Leyte; and Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte.
Meanwhile, Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Bacnotan, La Union; Aparri, Cagayan; Roxas City, Capiz; Dumangas, Iloilo; Catarman, Northern Samar; and Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte may experience a 44°C heat index.

PAGASA added that Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; ISU Echague, Isabela; Daet, Camarines Norte; Virac (Synop), Catanduanes; Juban, Sorsogon; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Guiuan, Eastern Samar; Dipolog, Zamboanga Del Norte; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur may have a heat index of 43°C.
Moreover, a 42°C heat index may be recorded in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; Iba, Zambales; CLSU Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; Baler (Radar), Aurora; Casiguran, Aurora; Aborlan, Palawan; Cuyo, Palawan; Legazpi City, Albay; CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur; Mambusao, Capiz; Mactan International Airport, Cebu; Siquijor, Siquijor; Catbalogan, Samar; Tacloban City, Leyte; and Borongan, Eastern Samar.
