ZTE and Converge unveil the Wi-Fi 7 ONU in Southeast Asia

ZTE and Converge unveil the Wi-Fi 7 ONU in Southeast Asia.

ONU means optical network unit, which is basically a modem with access to optical fiber. Wi-Fi 7 speeds can go up to 46Gbps, while Wi-Fi 6 can only reach up to 9.6Gbps. It's interesting to see how the introduction of Wi-Fi 7 will affect internet speeds for most people.

The unveiling happened during the ZTE Day exhibition, where the company showcased a portfolio of ICT products and solutions, such as 5G wireless, transmission, fixed network, maintenance, and terminals.

In his opening speech, Huang Lisheng, Chief Marketing Officer of ZTE Southeast Asia MKT Department, emphasized  ZTE's continued collaboration with Philippine operators, focusing on ICT infrastructure construction and expanding the application scenarios of digital intelligence. Mr. Lisheng reiterated ZTE's commitment to bringing a superior network experience to users.

Lisheng also conveyed that it will continue to collaborate closely with Converge, focusing deeply on ICT infrastructure construction and expanding the application scenarios of digital intelligence to bring a superior network experience to the customers of Converge.

ZTE will continue to collaborate with Converge in expanding Wi-Fi 7 in the coming years.
