P3.4-M shabu seized in Angeles City buy-bust

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga â€“ Three foreigners were arrested and 500 grams of suspected shabu worth P3.4 million were seized in a buy-bust operation in Timog Park Subdivision here on Tuesday, June 4.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Pampanga identified the suspect as Liao Hong Tao, 31, male; Li Guo, 37, and Wan Li, 41.

The suspects yielded a Sports Utility Vehicle and cellphones believed to be used in Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations.

The PDEA said that the suspects have been in the country for about a year now and involved in the distribution of illegal drugs to POGO workers.

The suspects face a non-bailable offense of violating Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to Section 26 B (conspiracy to sell drugs) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
