Farmer resting on hammock gunned down

GUINAYANGAN, Quezon â€“ A 51-year-old farmer was gunned down while resting on a hammock outside his house in Barangay Capuluan Central, this municipality, on Monday night, June 3.

Police identified the victim as Carlito D. Bautista.

Investigation said the gunman appeared behind and fired at the victim several times.

Bautista died on the spot and the suspect fled on foot towards the direction of Buenavista town.

Police are conducting follow-up operations.
