Grade 11 student killed in motorcycle crash

LASAM, Cagayan – A student died and his companion was injured after their motorcycle plunged into a rice field in Barangay Calapangan Sur here on Saturday night, June 1.

Police identified the victim as Jericho Reymundo, 17, Grade 11 student, back rider and resident of Barangay Tagao, Lasam.

Investigation disclosed that driver Rexon Sacramento, 17, also a Grade 11 student and resident of Barangay Ignacio B. Jurado (IBJ), Lasam, lost control of the motorcycle on a curve portion of the road while they were enroute to Barangay Tagao.

They ended up in a rice field and sustained serious injuries.

Police rushed the victims to the hospital where Reymundo was declared dead.
