LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Marijuana worth P7.4 million was uprooted during an eradication operation in Kalinga on June 29.

Police discovered 22,000 fully grown marijuana plants valued at P4.4 million in Barangay Butbut Proper and another 15,000 FGMJP worth P3 million in Barangay Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga.
These marijuana growing in three plantations with a total estimated land area of 2,400-square meters were documented and burned on the spot.
Sufficient samples were taken to the Regional Forensic Unit of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera.
Meanwhile, police arrested a 38-year-old male vendor listed as a high-value individual in the illegal drugs trade in a buy-bust operation in Baguio City.
Seized from the suspect was 0.71 grams of suspected shabu valued at P4,828. The suspect was taken to the Police Station 7 and faces drug-related charges.
