Female rider dies in Makati flyover road accident

A female rider died after her motorcycle crashed into a lamp post along Buendia flyover in Makati City on Sunday morning, June 30.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the victim's identity, who was reportedly around 25 to 26 years old.

In a radio interview, personnel from the Makati Public Safety Department (PSD) stated that the accident allegedly occurred at around 6 a.m.

The personnel said that the victim's motorcycle might have been speeding, causing her to crash into the post, which is particularly dangerous as the road is curvy.

He said this could also be the reason why the victim's helmet came off, and her helmet visor got stuck in the screws of the post.

The victim's body was brought to a funeral home.

Police are still investigating the incident.
