Businessman robbed in Laguna

SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna – A 46-year-old businessman was robbed of more than P600,000 by four armed men who introduced themselves as agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Saturday night, June 29, in Barangay Sinalhan, this city.

Police identified the victim as Nino Arni Amoranto Marfil.

Investigation said the suspects arrived at the victim's house and introduced themselves as PDEA agents and asked for the victim’s sister who was not around.

The suspects rounded up Marfil and his family and brought them to a room and took P628,000 cash, assorted jewelry, and two cellphones kept inside a cabinet.

The suspects escaped on a Toyota Vios. Manhut and follow-up investigation is ongoing.
