BOC intercepts P17-M worth of undeclared foreign currency at NAIA


Agents of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) seized around P17.2 million worth of Japanese yen at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

In a statement, the BOC-NAIA said the undeclared 47 million Japanese yen was discovered from the baggage of a Korean during inspection at the NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City on June 27. 

Appropriate charges are now being readied against the Korean.
