Rape suspect caught in Isabela

CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Police arrested on Monday, June 3, in Cordon, Isabela a 37-year-old man, the No. 3 most wanted person in Region 2 or Cagayan Valley, for allegedly raping his own daughter thrice in three years.

Police Brig. Gen. Christopher C. Birung, Police Regional Office-2 chief, identified the suspect as Randy.

Randy was arrested on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Second Judicial Region, Branch 32, Cabarroguis, Quirino for rape and rape by sexual assault.

The victim was allegedly raped thrice in three years – September 27, 2022; October 15, 2023, and January 28, 2024.

The suspect is under the custody of the Cordon Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

Birung lauded police for arresting the suspect and ordered them to intensify the anti-crime campaign in the region.
