VP Duterte thanks supporters, vows to work harder

Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday, June 3, released a video message to thank her supporters for their birthday greetings, saying she continues to draw inspiration from them.

“Salamat sa paglaan ng oras upang ipagdiwang ang aking kaarawan at gumawa ng makabuluhang mga mensahe at videos (Thank you for spending time to celebrate my birthday and create meaningful messages and videos),” she said.

“Inspirasyon ko kayong lahat na ipagpatuloy ng may tibay ng puso at katatagan ang pantay-pantay na paglilingkod sa lahat (You are all my inspiration to continue with strength of heart the delivery of equal service to all),” the official added.

The Vice President celebrated her 46th birthday on May 31.

Her supporters posted video messages to greet and express their support.

Many of them also wished for Duterte to always have “peace of mind” and to continue serving the country.

In another posted message on Sunday, June 2, the Vice President thanked the people and organizations who continuously support her and the programs of the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education (DepEd) which she heads in a concurrent capacity.

“Kayo po ang patunay na ang pagbabagong hinahangad natin ay nagsisimula mismo sa ating mga sarili (You are proof that the change we aspire for start from ourselves),” Duterte said.

In her message on Monday, she also called for her supporters to continue fighting for security, inclusivity in progress, and peace.
