In a statement issued on June 28, the PRC announced that officials from its national head office along with its Cavite chapter, received the donation from the Okada Foundation. This funding will be used to construct a new building for the PRC Cavite Chapter in the Vermosa complex in Imus.

PRC emphasized that the upcoming building, situated on 859 sqm of property donated by Ayala Land Inc., will serve as the primary blood center in Cavite. It will provide critical healthcare services and serve as a facility for the education and training of medical professionals in transfusion medicine.

According to PRC, services at the new PRC Vermosa facility will include blood services (collection, testing, and processing), 24/7 emergency service, a First Aid & Emergency Training Center, a Red Cross Youth program, social services, safety services, and disaster management services.
