Over 45,000 civilans, cops to take PNP entrance, promotional exams
More than 45,000 civilian and police examinees are set to take the entrance and promotional examinations on Sunday, June 30, the National Police Commission (Napolcom) said.
In a statement, Napolcom said a total of 33,429 examinees will take the PNP Entrance Examination, the qualifying examination for Patrolman/Patrolwoman while 11,828 police examinees will take the various promotional examination.
The promotional exam will be for Police Officer 4th Class Examination (for Police Corporal and Police Staff Sergeant); Police Officer 3rd Class Examination (for Police Master Sergeant, Police Senior Master Sergeant, Police Chief Master Sergeant and Police Executive Master Sergeant); Police Officer 2nd Class Examination (for Police Lieutenant and Police Captain); and Police Officer 1st Class Examination (for Police Major and Police Lieutenant Colonel).
Napolcom said examinees will undergo the three-hour test from 8a.m. to 11 a.m. at their designated examination venue in various parts of the country.
The Napolcom reiterates that committing any form of cheating will result in the invalidation of the examination result of the examinee and he/she shall be permanently barred from taking the examination,” the statement read.
“If a police examinee commits cheating, he/she shall be charged with dishonesty and, if found culpable, shall be meted the penalty of dismissal from the service,” it added.
