3 'undocumented' Chinese nationals arrested in Pampanga; South Korean 'fugitive' intercepted at NAIA
Three undocumental Chinese nationals were arrested in Pampanga while a fugitive South Korean national was intercepted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) identified the three Chinese nationals as Huang Shuzhen, 23, Chen Qianfang, 46, and Huang Zaicheng, 54. It said the foreigners failed to present their documents and thus they were declared undocumented aliens.
It said the law enforcement agents conducted an operation to serve a notice of no occupancy permit at a villa in Fontana Leisure Park, Clark Freezone. It was there when the three Chinese nationals were found by BI agents and those from the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
After their arrest, the three Chinese nationals were transferred to the PAOCC facility in Pasay City, the BI said.
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said the arrest should serve as a warning to illegal aliens not to abuse the hospitality of the Philippines.
"Government forces are now closely coordinating to locate and arrest aliens who may be staying here illegally. We thank the PAOCC and our partner agencies for supporting our fight against illegal aliens," Tansingco said.
The South Korean fugitive, identified by the BI as Sin Man Seung, 54, was intercepted last June 21 before he could board his flight to Busan, South Korea.
The BI said Sin's name prompted a positive hit in the bureau's International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) system due to an arrest warant issued last February 24 by South Korea's Daegu District Court on fraud charges.
"We will deport him to Korea and perpetually ban him from re-entering the country by putting him in our blacklist," Tansingco said.
