Police arrest 2 robbery suspects in Bulacan

Operatives of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit arrested two robbery suspects in San Simon, Pampanga, on Thursday, June 27.

Bulacan police director Col. Relly B. Arnedo identified the suspects as Alias "Jam", 29, and Alias "Mar", 23, both male and residents of Brgy. Meysulao, Calumpit, Bulacan.

Bulacan police coordinated with Plaridel police, Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Unit, and San Simon police in the conduct of hot pursuit operation against the suspects.

According to the report, the suspects were involved in a series of robbery-holdup incidents in the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Rizal, and Metro Manila.

Police said the hot pursuit operation was launched after the suspects staged a holdup at a convenience store in Brgy. Tabang, Plaridel, Bulacan last Monday morning, June 24.

Recovered from the suspects were a green Honda CRV with plate number ULB777 and four different plate numbers, two .38-caliber firearms without serial numbers, five pieces of live cartridge of caliber .38, four cellphones, assorted clothes, one police patrol shirt, one police bull cap, one pair of GOA pants, one reflectorized police vest, assorted groceries, P20,000 cash, three cable tie plastic handcuffs, one claw bar, one sledgehammer, and one piece of duct tape.

Also seized from the suspects were police uniforms they used in their criminal activities.

The suspects are now under the custody of Plaridel Municipal Police Station pending the filing of appropriate charges against them.
