Land agent gunned down in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY, Quezon -- A 60-year-old land agent was gunned in Purok Lansonesan 2, Barangay Ilayang Talim, this city, on Thursday night, June 27.

Police identified the victim as Manuel Sanchez Pilarca, married, and a resident of Villafuerte Subdivision, Barangay Ibabang lyam, here.

Investigation said the victim was riding a vehicle driven by a colleague when two unidentified men onboard a motorcycle appeared.

The back rider drew a .45 caliber pistol and shot the victim. He died on the spot due to multiple bullet wounds.

The Quezon Provincial Forensic Unit recovered five fired caliber .45 cartridge cases and a deformed fired bullet.

The suspects fled toward the direction of Sariaya and are now the subject of a manhunt.
