The Highrisers are looking forward to the firepower of Brazilian spiker Monique Helena, who is pursuing her first international gig in the Philippines following multiple local stints in her country.

The young outside hitter, 22, is also joining a relatively youthful squad which only joined the field during last year’s season-ending conference.

Aside from Helena, Galeries has also signed free agents Roselle Baliton and Shannen Palec during the off-season in an effort to strengthen its lineup.

Galeries finished in 10th place in the 2024 All-Filipino Conference after posting a 3-8 card.

Following the PVL Draft Lottery earlier this week, the Highrisers hold the third overall pick as the order for the draft proper goes reverse off last conference’s standings.

With the returning import-laden conference just right around the corner, other squads have previously revealed their aces.

PLDT is looking to run it back with Russia’s Elena Samoilenko, with Americans Khat Bell and Erica Stauton seeing action for Chery Tiggo and Creamline, respectively. Another Russian in Marina Tushova is set to bolster Capital1’s lineup with USA’s Zoi Faki and MJ Perez of Venezuela also having the same goal in mind.

The maiden PVL Rookie Draft is set to formally spice things up on Monday, July 8.
