Bulacan police arrest 4 drug suspects, 10 wanted men


Bulacan police arrested four drug personalities and 10 wanted persons in a series of anti-criminality operations in the province on June 27 and 28.

Members of the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), along with Angat police, conducted an anti-illegal drugs operation in Brgy. Niugan, Angat, Bulacan, at 8:30 p.m. of June 27.

The team seized five sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 40 grams worth P272,000 from alias "Liit", 50, a helper, during the buy-bust.

Three more drug peddlers were arrested in a separate buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Obando and Baliwag City. Ten sachets of suspected shabu and marked money were confiscated.

The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for examination. 

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 will be filed in court against the suspects, police said.

Meanwhile, the tracker team of the Bulacan Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) served the arrest warrants against alias Jherwin and alias Ato for cases of qualified statutory rape, with no recommended bail.

Eight more persons wanted by law were arrested in a series of manhunt operations conducted by the tracker teams of Bulacan 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Bocaue, San Ildefonso, San Rafael, Sta. Maria, Angat, Paombong, and Marilao police units.

The apprehended suspects are currently under the custody of the arresting police unit and stations.
