SAN JUAN, Batangas – A 37-year-old man was stabbed to death and his sibling was injured in a road rage incident in Barangay Poctol, this town, on Wednesday, June 26.

Police identified the fatality as Michael Baldeo Britania, resident of Barangay Palingowak here.
Investigation said Michael and brother, Adrian, 38, and the suspects – Roldan and Victor Piñero, both residents of Sitio Ugatan, Barangay Poctol, and a John Doe – engaged each other in a heated argument over the blinding headlights of their vehicles – a tricycle and motorcycle.
Roldan approached and stabbed Michael in the stomach. Adrian rushed to save his brother but he too was stabbed by Roldan.
The suspects fled and the victims were taken to a hospital here where Michael was declared dead and Adrian recuperating.
Meanwhile, a 46-year-old woman was shot and wounded in Barangay San Felipe, Padre Garcia, Batangas on Wednesday afternoon.
Police identified the victim as Aurora Garrode Belamide, a resident of Barangay San Felipe.
Investigation said the victim was standing on a sidewalk in front of a business establishment when a man onboard a pink motorcycle arrived and shot her several times using a caliber .45 pistol.
The suspect, who was wearing a helmet, khaki jacket, and pants, fled towards Barangay Poblacion.
Belamide was taken to a hospital in Rosario, Batangas.
