Pasay LGU, police holds forum on empowerment, reaffirmation of paternal abilities

The local government of Pasay City and the local police conducted a forum on empowerment and reaffirmation of paternal abilities on Wednesday, June 26.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the forum, organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Department CSWDD and spearheaded by the local police under the supervision of Col. Samuel Pabonita, was held at the Cuneta Astrodome located along Derham Park, Pasay City.
Rubiano said the CSWDD and the police conducted lectures on men opposed to violence against women everywhere (MOVE) and Republic Act (RA) 11313 or “The Safe Spaces Act” during the forum.
She said the forum aimed to empower participants, highlighting the importance of paternal role in the community.
The mayor added the MOVE lecture emphasized the role of men in preventing violence against women, while discussion on RA 11313 focused on creating safe and inclusive spaces for all individuals, particularly the vulnerable groups.
Rubiano said the efforts underscored the promotiong of gender equality and safety within the community.
