Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar inaugurated the new four-storey building of Dr. Filemon C. Aguilar Memorial College of Las Piñas (DFCAM-LP) main campus.
Aguilar was joined by Vice-Mayor April Aguilar, government officials, college administrators and faculty members during the blessing and inauguration of new building with 12 classrooms of DFCAM-LP main campus in Barangay Talon Tres.
The mayor, who is also a teacher by profession, said the new building of the city-funded college will address the growing number of students enrolled in the school.
Aguilar said the school, which was built under the administration of her late husband Mayor Vergel Aguilar, is also known for producing Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPLE) top notchers.
During the inauguration, she emphasized the city’s commitment to enhancing educational facilities and ensuring quality education for all students.
The mayor also said the new building reflects the city government's ongoing effort to create a supportive learning environment.
For her part, the vice-mayor said the new facility aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve success.
The vice-mayor added the city government is also planning to build an engineering campus that can cater to around 4,000 students.
